Eden Project

Built in a disused Cornish clay mine the Eden Project has transformed the space into a rich, global garden, attracting thousands of visitors every year. The Eden Project site is located at Bodelva, a 15 minute drive from Hazelmere House and other guest houses or cottages, so the world's largest rainforest in captivity is within easy reach. With its iconic architecture and world-class sculpture and art, as well as its award winning gardens, the Eden Project will appeal to all who visit.

Eden offers much more than just a memorable day out, however, it's one of the best things to do in Cornwall. It is an educational charity and social enterprise, putting much of its energy into creating unforgettable learning experiences for students and schoolchildren, putting on fantastic arts, theatre and music events and creating stunning gardens. All this as well as doing valuable research into plants and conservation whilst making sure all their operations are run in the greenest and environmentally friendly way possible.

All the foods in the Projects restaurants and cafes is locally sourced and fairly traded and the free land train runs on biofuel. Eden differs from other fun parks and provides an example of regeneration and sustainable living to all who visit, inspiring visitors to explore their dependency on the natural world and be inspired to adapt their lives to preserve and enrich their environment.

The outside gardens are constantly changing and there is always something new to see, even if you have been before!
